County to resurface section of Stockton Street in Hightstown

Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Stockton Street (County Route 571) in Hightstown between Oak Lane and NJ Route 33 (North Main Street) is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 9, with an anticipated completion time of approximately four weeks, weather permitting.

During construction, Stockton Street will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, access will be permitted for local residents, and municipal and emergency vehicles. Motorists will be directed to use Route 130, Town Center Road, North Main Street (CR 539) and NJ Route 33.
