We need your input! Please take the Mercer County Mental Health Needs and Barriers Survey!
The Mercer County Division of Mental Health is conducting a Mental Health Needs and Barriers Survey. The purpose of the survey is to better understand the mental health needs, experiences, and barriers to accessing mental health services in Mercer County, NJ. The results of the survey will help develop new resources and programs and inform the Mercer County Mental Health Plan. The Mercer County Division of Mental Health has worked in partnership NAMI Mercer and The College of New Jersey to develop this survey.
The Mercer County Mental Health Plan is intended to serve as a basis for future funding and program development and to reflect consumer and provider service priorities.
This survey is considered confidential; no names or other contact information will be recorded or linked to this survey. The link will be available through August 3, 2021. Results of the overall findings will be shared as part of a report in late 2021.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES
CLASSES, DISCUSSIONS & SEMINARS
Purpose: To offer the youth and young adults across our state a safe place to come together and have meaningful discussions around current events such as: Black Lives Matter, racism, social injustice etc.
Vision: Connect any youth and young adult across our state (virtually) on a monthly basis so together we can have meaningful conversation about topics that they specifically select. Each month we secure a different moderator to lead/kick off the conversation. Moderators can be youth themselves or anyone from across the state interested in moderating. The partners (listed below) will attend the Town Hall to offer support in the discussion and to assist in keeping it productive and a safe place. Overall, we want to allow the youth/young adults to share their thoughts and feelings organically.
Youth Leadership Council: created specifically to help keep true to the vision of this project being youth led. The Youth Leadership Council will meet on the 3rd Monday of every month in preparation of the following month’s Town Hall event. The council will be comprised of youth from all over NJ. At each Council meeting, the youth and adult partners of the project will meet with the upcoming moderator to discuss talking points and ideas for the next Town Hall. The Youth Leadership Council will also be invited to local CIACC meetings across the state to engage in conversation about the Town Hall and the impact it is having in our state.
