Walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations at CURE Arena
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes announced that Mercer County, in partnership with Capital Health, is offering COVID-19 vaccinations without an appointment at CURE Insurance Arena, 81 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, on the following schedule: • Today, May 7, until 5 p.m. • Saturday, May 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Monday, May 10, from 12 to 8 p.m. • Tuesday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Thursday, May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Friday, May 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. To receive your vaccine, you must be 18 years of age or older. The vaccine being given is Moderna, which will require a second dose. Registration in the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System is recommended but not required. New vaccination site at Mercer County Park Skating Center
Mercer County’s new vaccination site in partnership with Penn Medicine Princeton Health opened Thursday at the Mercer County Park Skating Center, 1638 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Vaccinations will be offered next week on the following schedule: • Thursday, May 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. • Friday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. To receive your vaccine, you must be 18 years of age or older. The vaccine being given is Moderna, which will require a second dose. Residents are encouraged to schedule an appointment by registering at https://covidvaccine.nj.gov or by calling 855-568-0545, but walk-ins are welcome. Mercer /statewide vaccination update
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes reports that more than 300,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Mercer County residents, and that as of this morning, May 7, more than 183,400 Mercer residents, or about 63 percent of the County’s adult population, have received at least one vaccine dose. The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) data dashboard shows that 132,484 Mercer residents have been fully vaccinated. Statewide, 3,486,709 people have been fully vaccinated, according to NJDOH. A total of 7,798,096 vaccine doses have been administered to New Jersey residents as of this morning.

Business Survival Series, Part 4 – register now
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes recently announced a virtual four-part business series for the Mercer County business community. Titled the Business Survival Series and hosted by the UCEDC, the webinar series looks to guide businesses in overcoming the pandemic difficulties. Part 4, “Projecting Financial Results,” will take place Thursday, May 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This live webinar will emphasize the importance of effectively projecting sales, expenses and cash flow to monitor the health of the business, and will include a bonus Q & A session with subject matter experts.

COVID-19 vaccinations for homebound individuals
The NJ Department of Health has begun accepting requests for in-home COVID-19 vaccine appointments. If you are unable to leave home to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, or are the health care provider or family caregiver of someone who is homebound, you may request an in-home vaccination appointment by completing a form at: covid19.nj.gov/homeboundvax. For assistance completing the survey by phone, please call the NJ COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at 1-855-568-0545. After you submit the completed form, the Department of Health will share information with a home health agency, local health department or other vaccination providers and you will be contacted to schedule an in-home vaccination appointment.

Free at-home saliva test for COVID-19
Planning to travel or return to work and need a free COVID-19 test? Mercer County offers a free at-home saliva test for COVID-19 in partnership with Vault Health Services. The test is available to County residents 14 years or older and anyone employed as a first responder or health care worker in Mercer County. Details on the at-home testing program, along with a list of COVID-19 testing locations in Mercer County, can be found on the COVID-19 Testing page on the County website.

Additional easing of COVID-19 restrictions
Gov. Phil Murphy this week announced an additional easing of COVID-19 restrictions, including a removal of all percentage capacity limits for indoor and outdoor businesses, a lifting of the prohibition on indoor bar seating, and an end to the outdoor gathering limit. Some changes will take effect today, May 7, with others taking effect on Wednesday, May 19, in coordination with both New York and Connecticut.
