Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addition is now offering a weekly parenting program! It will focus on parenting issues and open dialogue on parenting concerns on such topics at peer pressure, substance abuse, trauma, decision-making and more. Please register here. Program is 12 to 1 p.m. (via Zoom) every Thursday.

As part of the Stigma Free Mercer campaign, Mercer County will post newsletters and articles on our www.mercercounty.org website, and host events throughout the county. These newsletters, articles, and events will provide information on mental illness and addiction and stigma associated with them, and will act as a way for county residents to connect and discuss their mental health and addiction illnesses and/or concerns. Please take a moment to view the May/June 2021 issue of Stigma Free Mercer News!

Join Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County online Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 7 p.m. for BGC Mercer's annual fundraising event, Night of Shining Stars! Support their mission, and ongoing efforts to combat learning loss, food insecurity and the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth and families in our community. Register today The event is free and promises an evening filled with inspiration hope and laughter!

The James R. Halsey (JRH) Foundation of the Arts recently purchased a new home at 535. East Franklin St. The soon-to-be refurbished building will become the primary production space for the foundation students to learn about film-making, podcasting, media and other educational skills in the production industry. As the Foundation continues to alter and remodel the old building into a proper work and learning environment, they are asking the community for help and generous support. Please feel free to donate and spread the news!

Homes by TLC, Inc provides affordable service enriched housing. All applicants must first qualify on the basis of gross annual income.
