Our partner REI has issued a call to action along with their annual #OptOutside initiative. This year, REI is asking partners to hold Opt to Act events that provide opportunities for people to address environmental challenges in their community. The Park Commission’s Stewardship Team has answered REI’s call by holding volunteer events on Friday, Nov. 22 at Rosedale Park from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers can help the Park Commission remove invasive shrubs in support of a riparian restoration planned for Spring 2020. Please wear warm layers, sturdy shoes or boots, and gloves. Call (609) 888-3218 with questions.
