Fall Migration: Roebling Park Bird Surveys

Thursday, Oct. 3 from 8 - 10:30 a.m.

Roebling Park at Spring Lake

A naturalist led bird walk and survey. See how Roebling Park is used by migrating fall birds as part of the marshland restoration initiative at the Abbott Marshlands. We will collect data to see how birds use this area to migrate as the marsh restoration progresses throughout different seasons. This program is free, registration required.

Forest Health in our Parks

Mercer Meadows at the Historic Hunt Barn

Come out and learn the efforts we are taking to monitor and improve the forests in our Parks! Join our Senior Land Steward as she explains the methods we use to collect and compile forest health data, shares the results from our studies, and discuss what measures can be taken to improve ecological conditions. This program is free, registration is required.  Suitable for teens and adults.

Help us capture the changes we are making at Roebling Park! In this program, we'll take a hike around Spring Lake, stopping at the beautiful marsh overlook spots, where you can take pictures of our wetland restoration efforts. We want you to be a part of documenting and preserving the history of Roebling Park. Bring your camera and an eye for beauty - we'll promote your photos! Use the hashtag #bagthephrag, tag us on social media, or send photos to parksinfo@mercercounty.org. This program is free, registration is required.
