County to resurface sections of Whitehorse Avenue
TRENTON -- On or about Monday, May 6, milling and resurfacing will begin on Whitehorse Avenue (County Route 533) between Arena Drive and Kuser Road in Hamilton Township with an anticipated completion date of May 24, weather permitting. Construction will occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Normal traffic will resume all other times. The Mercer County Department of Transportation & Infrastructure proposes to complete the work as follows:
• Stage 1: Arena Drive to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road: Single-lane, single-directional traffic will be maintained in the southbound direction. Motorists traveling northbound will be directed to use Arena Drive to Gropp Avenue to Englewood Boulevard to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road. • Stage 2: Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road to Goeke Drive: This section of Whitehorse Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Southbound traffic will be directed to use Goeke Drive to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road. Motorists traveling northbound will be directed to use Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road to Kuser Road. • Stage 3: Goeke Drive to Kuser Road: One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on one-half of the road while work is being completed on the other side. No detours will be in effect at this time. • Stage 4: Whitehorse Avenue and Klockner Road intersection: Work will be completed using alternating traffic patterns and maintaining one lane in each direction.
