Pre-Registration for Phase 4 Grants Reopen

Business

Phase 4 of the Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program provides grants up to $20,000 to small- and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Pre-registration has reopened for business owners who did not pre-register in April. Businesses can pre-register or check their application status at programs.njeda.com. Pre-registration for Phase 4 will be open until June 30th, 2021.

Apply to the New Jersey Future of Work Accelerator

Businesses, non-profits, or individuals with an idea, solution, or initiative that improves job quality and economic security for New Jerseyans are invited to apply to the New Jersey Future of Work Accelerator. Through the free Accelerator, accepted participants will receive connections to funders, custom coaching, and opportunities to pilot or scale worker-centric programs in New Jersey. Applications are due June 14th, 2021, at 6 p.m.

Apply for the Clean Tech R&D Voucher Program

Clean technology

The Clean Tech Research and Development Voucher Program is a $435,000 program designed to help early-stage New Jersey clean technology companies more easily access specialized facilities, equipment, and makerspaces. Applications are open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until funding has been allocated.

Receive Tax Credits for Residential Development Projects

Development projects

The Residential Economic Redevelopment and Growth (ERG) Program provides tax credits for developers and businesses to address financing gaps in development projects. Projects can receive tax credits of up to 30% of total eligible project costs, or up to 40% in targeted cities. Applications for the Residential ERG Program are now open.

Apply for Job Creation Tax Credits through Emerge

Tax credits

Small and large businesses, as well as non-profits, can now apply to the Emerge program for tax credits to support projects that meet minimum capital investment and job creation or retention requirements.

SkillUp New Jersey is a free virtual training program for both employed and unemployed workers. Available courses include but are not limited to information technology, business analysis, customer service, industry certifications, and more. This program is open 180 days after registering.

Sell Your Net Operating Loss and R&D Tax Credits for Cash

Cash

The Net Operating Loss (NOL) Program enables early-stage technology and life sciences companies to sell their New Jersey net operating losses and unused research and development (R&D) tax credits to unrelated profitable corporations for cash. Capital raised through this program can be used for costs including, but not limited to: fixed asset purchases; construction, acquisition, and development of real estate; materials; tenant fit-out; working capital; salaries; and R&D expenditures. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority is accepting applications online through June 30th, 2021.
