You Have to Pre-Register for Emergency Assistance Grants - Phase 4

Pre-register today for grants of up to $20,000 through the Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program - Phase 4. Pre-registration is open until Thursday, April 29th at 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is not first-come, first-served. Businesses that do not pre-register will not be eligible for phase 4 grants.

Planned Increase of Capacity Limits

Effective Monday, May 10th, the State is planning to increase outdoor gathering limits to 500 people and increase the allowed capacity for large outdoor venues with more than 1,000 fixed seats to 50% capacity. The State is also planning to increase capacity for certain indoor events, certain indoor sports activities, and more. Permit carnivals and fairs will also be allowed to operate at the amusement business capacity (currently 50% capacity).

Inform New Jersey's Climate Strategy

The State has released a draft of New Jersey’s first-ever Climate Change Resilience Strategy. The strategy will guide efforts to strengthen New Jersey – including its businesses -- against today’s climate threats, including flooding, sea-level rise, and extreme weather. The public and businesses are encouraged to provide feedback online.

Funding for Apprenticeship Programs

Money

Businesses, non-profit organizations, and others can apply for funding for the development and implementation of apprenticeship programs. Up to $3,500,000 of total funding is available. The Growing Apprenticeships in Nontraditional Sectors (GAINS) Grant Program promotes the expansion and development of apprenticeship programs to support better-paying careers and advanced credential attainment. Applications are due May 28th.

Apply for Rental Assistance

Rent Icon

Applicants of the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program (Phase II) may be eligible for up to 12 months of rental assistance for rent arrears and future rent. The application period will remain open until $353 million has been awarded. Landlords may apply on behalf of tenants, with the tenant’s permission.

PPE Access Program Deadline Extended to May 28th

There is still time for New Jersey-based businesses and organizations with 100 or fewer employees to apply for discounts of nearly 70% off purchases of personal protective equipment through the NJ Small and Micro Business PPE Access Program. Businesses that were approved previously do not need to reapply, but any discounts they have redeemed to date will be counted toward the program cap.
