New Jersey was awarded over 400,000 COVID-19 vaccines in December, and the State is rolling out vaccines step-by-step to serve all adults who live, work, or are being educated in the state. Vaccinations are already underway for paid and unpaid workers serving in health facilities as well as for residents and staff of long-term care facilities. Last month, New Jersey introduced new requirements for restaurants and bars: no seating at the physical bar in indoor areas, and no indoor food or drink service after 10 pm. Prior regulations also restrict indoor capacity to 25 percent, require customers indoors to only consume food or beverages while seated, and require masks when individuals are not eating or drinking. Get Covered New Jersey is the State’s official health insurance marketplace that gives you access to the resources and financial help you need to find the right coverage. This year, there is more financial help available than ever before. Eight in 10 consumers will qualify for assistance to lower the cost of a plan. For coverage beginning in January, you must enroll by tomorrow, December 31st. Go to getcovered.nj.gov now to make sure you and your family are covered in the new year. You can also visit our local assistance page to find free and certified Assisters in your area who can help you enroll.
