COVID-19 Vaccines Have Arrived in New Jersey

Vaccines began arriving in New Jersey hospitals this week and the first COVID-19 vaccinations were administered to frontline healthcare workers on Tuesday, December 15th. In the first phase of vaccine distribution, healthcare workers, and long-term care facility residents and staff will be the top priority for vaccinations. The State’s vaccination program will become much more robust over the coming weeks as more vaccine shipments arrive. Learn more about how COVID-19 vaccines are being rolled out.


Mask Up!

Mask

Protect yourself and others from COVID-19 by wearing a mask over your nose and mouth, especially when you cannot keep six feet of distance. Face coverings are required in New Jersey in indoor public spaces and in outdoor public spaces when social distancing is difficult to maintain. Learn more.


Open Enrollment Period for Health Insurance is Here!

Get Covered New Jersey is the State’s official health insurance marketplace that gives you access to the resources and financial help you need to find the right coverage. This year, there is more financial help available than ever before. Eight in 10 consumers will qualify for assistance to lower the cost of a plan. For coverage beginning in January, you must enroll by December 31, 2020. Go to getcovered.nj.gov now to make sure you and your family are covered in the New Year. You can also visit here to find free and certified Assisters in your area who can help you enroll.


Sustain and Serve NJ

Meal

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority has launched a $2 million grant program to provide funding to organizations to purchase meals from restaurants impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations can find more information and apply here. Restaurants are not eligible to apply directly for Sustain and Serve NJ, but may opt to have their information posted online by completing the Sustain and Serve NJ Restaurant Interest Form. Applications are due by January 8, 2021.

Yesterday’s newsletter is available here and includes information on the State's plans to roll out COVID-19 vaccines in a fair and equitable manner to serve all who live, work, or study in New Jersey.
