This Week's NJ COVID-19 Updates
Do you have questions about getting tested for COVID-19, contact tracing, traveling to or from the State of New Jersey, or even finding a new job? The State of New Jersey offers up-to-date information, resources, and guidance at our COVID-19 Information Hub.
- Please celebrate Thanksgiving with only those in your household.
- If you do gather with other households, see this article for tips to reduce risk.
- Remember that indoor gatherings in New Jersey are limited to 10 people.
- New Jersey strongly discourages all non-essential interstate travel at this time.
- As of November 25th, New Jersey will no longer utilize previously outlined metrics to inform its travel advisory.
- Travelers and residents returning from any U.S. state or territory beyond the immediate region (New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware) should self-quarantine at their home, hotel, or other temporary lodging for the CDC recommended period, which is currently 14 days.
- The Department of Health will issue additional information in the coming days regarding travel precautions. Individuals should continue to abide by the state’s current guidance until a new policy is issued.

- If you are called by a contact tracer, you either tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has – so it’s critical you answer the phone.
- Contact tracers are calling with life-saving information that will keep you, your loved ones, and your community safe and healthy.
- Learn how contact tracing saves lives.
|
- Download the COVID Alert NJ App.
- The app is New Jersey’s free and secure mobile app that anonymously alerts users if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- COVID Alert NJ uses Bluetooth proximity technology, it never records any identifying data, and all users will remain anonymous.
- Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
