Limits Lowered on Indoor and Outdoor Gatherings

Indoor Dining

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, New Jersey has lowered the limits for indoor and outdoor gatherings:

  • General indoor gatherings are limited to 10 people max (effective November 17th)
  • General outdoor gatherings are limited to 150 people max (effective November 23rd)
  • Exceptions: Weddings, funerals, memorial services, religious and political activities, performances, legislative and judicial proceedings

This Thanksgiving, Stay Safe

Dining
  • Celebrate Thanksgiving with members of your own household only
  • If you do gather with other households, keep plans as small as possible
  • College students returning home should quarantine for 14 days before interacting with family members and should consider getting tested before leaving campus
  • Families are discouraged from taking residents out of long-term care facilities for holiday celebrations

Travel Advisory Updated

Travel Advisory
  • New Jersey is highly discouraging all non-essential interstate travel given the increased spread of the virus nationwide.
  • Vermont was added to New Jersey’s travel advisory this week, bringing the total to 46 states and territories.
  • Travelers from impacted states should quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.
