Limits Lowered on Indoor and Outdoor Gatherings

Indoor Dining

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, New Jersey has lowered the limits for indoor and outdoor gatherings. Effective November 17th, general indoor gatherings are limited to 10 people. Effective November 23rd, general outdoor gatherings will be limited to 150 people. There are higher limits for weddings, funerals, memorial services, religious and political activities, performances, and legislative and judicial proceedings. Read the details of New Jersey’s gatherings limits on the COVID-19 Information Hub.

This Thanksgiving, Stay Safe

Dining

Given the current surge in COVID-19 cases, everyone should celebrate Thanksgiving with members of their household only. If you do gather with other households, keep plans as small as possible and consistent with public health guidance. College students returning home should quarantine for 14 days before interacting with family members and should consider getting tested before leaving campus. The Department of Health strongly recommends against families taking residents out of long-term care facilities for holiday celebrations. Learn more about tips for staying safe while gathering for the holidays.
