Ewing Police offer guidance to off-campus students
Our community is host to many college attendees from both the College of New Jersey and Rider University. Our close proximity to both institutions allows for many rental property choices (homes and apartments) for these attendees. Our Ewing Police Community Relations Unit works with both students and faculty from both institutions to address all “off campus” student housing and student safety issues. Being “good neighbors” is the main focus of the unit’s efforts. They have created a Community Handbook for our student neighbors, and we encourage you to get to know our students. You might even wish to share a copy of the handbook. A PDF version can be found on the website: https://www.ewingpolice.com/forms-documents/upload-transient-file-event-flyer-press-release-etc/file/2025/College%20Packet%202025.pdf
The Community Relations Unit can be reached by e-mail at policecru@ewingnj.org or by phone at 609-882-1313.

NATURE & SUSTAINABILITY
Sign Up Today for the 8th Annual Delaware River Cleanup!
Saturday, Sept. 20 from 8:30 – 11:30 am
In an effort to help clean up the Delaware River, the Delaware River Greenway Partnership, the NJ Clean Communities programs, New Jersey State Parks, and a cadre of dedicated volunteers are once again joining hands to help tackle the litter along the banks of our Wild and Scenic Delaware River. The 8th Annual Delaware River Clean-up has been scheduled for the morning of Saturday, September 20th from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
The Ewing Department of Public Works is leading the charge at the Scudder Falls location and this year clean-up efforts are expanding even further northward to include areas from the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area in Sussex County. Clean up locations will extend to the southern Abbott Marshlands in Mercer County. All clean-up locations will be by land, except for on-boat cleanup option hosted by PA Delaware Canal State Park. Please explore the interactive map on the Delaware River Greenway Partnership Cleanup webpage to find the area that is right for you.
