Aug. 10, Pucci Amanda Jhones, 4 to 6 p.m., Simply Pure, 1531 N. Olden Ave., Ewing
The exhibition, "From the Streets to the Studio," is a celebration of resilience, creativity and community.
"From the Streets to the Studio" is the first of a series of events that will honor TCAT's 25th anniversary. Started by a collective of TASK artists in 2000, TCAT eventually formed its own nonprofit to help display and market the artists' work for sale. Today, TCAT continues to partner with TASK to host a weekly visual arts program on Tuesdays at the soup kitchen and also runs its own art studio, "Studio 51," which is located at 51 N Stockton Street. Studio 51 functions as a workspace and gallery where Trenton artists can create and display their impressive artwork.
The exhibition will be on display during the library's normal operating hours throughout the summer. More information about TCAT can be found at tcateam.org.
