Ewing Township to Launch 'Ewing Buddy' – A New Way for Residents to Report Issues and Connect with Local Services
Ewing, NJ – Ewing Township is excited to announce the upcoming launch of Ewing Buddy, a new online and mobile reporting tool that will give residents a faster, easier way to report non-emergency issues and request services around town.
Powered by SeeClickFix, Ewing Buddy allows users to report things like potholes, streetlight outages, property maintenance concerns, and more – all with just a few taps on their phone or a few clicks on the township website. Photos and locations can be included to help staff respond more efficiently.

“This is about making local government more accessible and responsive,” said Mayor Bert Steinmann. “Ewing Buddy gives people a convenient way to let us know what they’re seeing in their neighborhoods, and it helps us track and manage those concerns quickly and transparently.”
The name “Buddy” reflects the spirit of the tool – because sometimes we all need a buddy to help us navigate a frustrating task or get the ball rolling on an issue. The logo features the outline of a friendly Labrador Retriever and carries the tagline Spot, Click, Fix – a reminder that with just a little help, small problems can get solved more quickly.
Ewing Buddy will be available through the Township website and as a free smartphone app, where residents can submit requests, check on progress, and even get updates when the job is done. The platform will also help township departments better coordinate responses and track recurring issues.

The tool is modeled on successful systems like Hamilton's HamStat and is being customized for Ewing’s needs.
“We want people to feel like they have a direct line to the Township,” said Business Administrator Aaron Watson. “Ewing Buddy is about communication, accountability, and giving our residents a voice in keeping their town running smoothly.”
The Township expects to go live with Ewing Buddy later this month. A formal launch date and more details will be announced soon.
