Dear Ewing Community,
As we approach a season filled with reflection and togetherness, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest holiday wishes to each of you. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or simply cherishing time with loved ones, this is a time to pause and appreciate the community and connections that make Ewing so special.
This past year, we’ve accomplished so much together, and I’m looking forward to continuing that momentum in the year ahead. From all of us at Town Hall, thank you for being part of what makes Ewing a wonderful place to call home.
Wishing you a safe, happy, and peaceful holiday season!
Warm regards, Mayor Bert H. Steinmann

EWING SPOTLIGHT:
Ewing Police Coat Drive a Success!
Ewing Police Department successfully completed its annual coat drive with the generous support of local churches and the Ewing PBA Civic Association. Detective Danielle Bethea of the Community Relations Unit (CRU) worked closely with Ewing Schools to identify children in need of winter coats within our community.
Thanks to the combined efforts and support of the officers of the Ewing PBA Civic Association board, SOA Local 111, our support staff, Marshall's store in Ewing, Victorious Church, Lightbridge Academy in Delran, Jersey College in Ewing, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Macy’s, Police Chaplain Downs who is from Calvary Chapel of Mercer County, and Christine Hopes, we were able to provide coats to more than 150 children.

“This coat drive is a shining example of what makes Ewing so special—our community coming together to care for one another," said Mayor Bert Steinmann. "I want to thank Detective Danielle Bethea and the Ewing Police Department’s Community Relations Unit for their dedication, and I’m grateful to the many organizations and individuals who contributed. Providing warmth to over 150 children this winter shows the true spirit of Ewing.”
A special thank you goes to Christina Navado, Loss Prevention Manager at the Marshall's store in Ewing, who played a crucial role in ensuring we could secure coats in all the sizes our children needed.

Ewing Arts Commission to host special art installation ‘Serendipity: the occurrence of events by chance”
Three young women, all born within a 5-mile radius, five years apart, live, play, learn, grow up, eventually move away.
Sixty years later, two of the three end up living in the same neighborhood, the third, close by, are all drawn together by their love of art – together they will serve as Ewing Arts Commission’s featured artist in January at Ewing Town Hall. They are Linda Robinson, Ellen Wylie Smith and Janet Skwara McLaughlin.
Fast forward to the present and these three have reconnected, compared notes, and shared MANY Ewing memories and stories together. Their love for art binds them together as well as a shared past of growing up in the same wonderful Ewing Township. Fate or Serendipity? Either way, they have come together in the halls of the Ewing Township Municipal Building. For the months of January, February, and March, the three will be exhibiting their artwork at the Ewing Township Municipal Building through the Ewing Arts Commission’s (EAC’s) Featured Artist Program. Linda and Ellen will be the Featured Artists for the month of January, with Serendipity Part 1. All three artists will have work for the February group show, with Jan returning in March as the Featured Artist for that month, with Serendipity Part 2. There will be over 50 works combined. Spectators will see watercolor, acrylic, as well as oil paintings. Most works will be available for purchase.
The artists will dedicate 10% of all sale proceeds to EASEL, Ewing’s animal shelter.
Ewing Municipal Building is at 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, NJ 08628. Art may be viewed when the building is open: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed from 12-1 for lunch). Please check the Ewing Arts Commission’s website and social media pages for more information about artists’ receptions for January, February, and March, as well as information about EAC’s Featured Artist Program.
