Ewing Rolls Out the Red Carpet for 'Spotlights' Premiere
EWING, NJ – Ewing Township celebrated the premiere of its highly anticipated Ewing Spotlights video series on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at Town Hall. The evening was filled with laughter and plenty of good humor as community members gathered to enjoy the event in true Hollywood style—complete with a red carpet, velvet ropes, and, of course, popcorn.
The Ewing Spotlights series, featuring four short videos—Community, Nonprofits, Business, and Restaurants—shines a light on the people, organizations, and businesses that make Ewing such a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work, and visit. Produced in partnership with Ewing native and professional videographer Pete Guzzo, the videos capture the spirit and diversity of the township. Walking the red carpet, front to back: Bernie Flynn, CEO, Mercer Street Friends, Peter Guzzo, former Ewing mayor, Aslan Zadeh, CEO, Jersey Smooth, Shazbre Scott, voiceover artist.

The project was made possible through the generosity of Ewing business owner Aslan Zadeh, CEO of Jersey Smooth, who set aside a percentage of his business revenue to support initiatives that uplift and showcase the community. Former Mayor Peter Guzzo connected the township with his son, Pete Guzzo, to bring this vision to life. The result is a series of authentic, unscripted videos featuring residents, businesses, and organizations.

Many participants in the videos, along with their families, were in attendance to see their stories come to life on the big screen. The celebratory atmosphere reflected the pride and enthusiasm that fueled the project from the start. Pictured is Fareeda Stokes, owner and broker, Harkes Realty.
“We wanted to create something that truly highlights all that is good about Ewing,” said Mayor Bert H. Steinmann. “Seeing so many familiar faces here tonight and watching their stories unfold is a reminder of the incredible people who make up our community. This is just the beginning—there’s so much more to share, and I thank Aslan Zadeh for going above and beyond to back this project."
