Dear Ewing Community,
As fall reaches its peak, I wanted to share a few updates.
First, congratulations to eight members of our police force—seven promoted officers and one newly sworn-in. In addition, Ewing Police and EMS are hiring—check out the flyers in this newsletter and spread the word.
Our new leaf vacuum is now on the streets alongside other collection equipment, so please rake your loose leaves to the curb based on your zone.
Also, a quick reminder: today is the last day to apply by mail for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot for the General Election.
Finally, Prospect Heights Fire Company's annual holiday wreath sale is underway—consider buying one for yourself and a neighbor.
Thank you for your continued support! See you around town.
Best, Mayor Bert H. Steinmann

Our autumnal festival features hay rides, face painting, bouncy house, kids’ games, food, music, beer, local artisanal vendors and more! Then the Cows Parade. 'Albert Einstein' Halloween Performance
Thursday, Oct. 31, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Institute for Advanced Study, 112 Mercer St, Princeton, NJ 08540-6827
Albert Einstein moved to Princeton, NJ, on October 17, 1933 to join the Faculty of the Institute for Advanced Study. Two weeks later, on Halloween night, legend has it that when a group of children knocked on his door and called out “Trick or Treat!” Einstein, unfamiliar with the tradition, came to the front porch and provided a treat of a musical variety: he serenaded them with his violin. This Halloween, IAS will once again recreate this musical experience with local violinist Adrienne Walsh, who will be performing for trick-or-treaters as they walk past. All are welcome to stop by!
