 The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is pleased to release the Cooperative Coastal Monitoring Program (CCMP) Annual Summary Report for Beach Season 2022.
The CCMP monitored water quality at 220 primary monitoring stations: 193 ocean, 20 bay, and 7 river stations, collecting and analyzing a total of 3,745 water quality samples in 2022.
- 3,326 ocean water quality samples were collected and analyzed resulting in 26 advisories and one bacterial exceedance closure.
- 297 bay water quality samples were collected and analyzed resulting in three advisories and one bacterial exceedance closure.
- 122 river water quality samples were collected and analyzed resulting in one advisory and zero closures.
