Routine Vaccination
Flu and RSV Activity in NH
DHHS' Weekly Flu and RSV Report shows flu activity in NH is regional (increased activity or outbreaks in less than half of the state) and emergency department visits for RSV in children under 5 are increasing. It's not too late for those 6 months and older to get this season's flu shot. Protection against RSV is available for infants younger than 8 months who have not received a dose of nirsevimab.
"Let's Get Real" Childhood Vaccines Campaign
HHS has launched a new campaign called Let's Get Real to combat misinformation about childhood vaccines. Families can get answers to vaccine questions and providers can access communication resources and training.
2024 Measles Recap
In 2024, New Hampshire and 31 other jurisdictions responded to measles cases and outbreaks. There were 284 cases, the highest number in the U.S. since 2019. MMR vaccination rates for NH kindergarteners and nationally are below the 95% threshold to achieve community immunity. Please continue encouraging measles vaccination, especially with patients who have international travel plans. Nearly 60 countries currently have high transmission rates.

Vaccine Inventory Adjustments
If you need to make adjustments to your vaccine inventory in the NHIIS, make sure you select the correct reason from the drop-down menu! Here's when you should use each option:
-
"Publicly Supplied - Drawn Into Syringe But Not Admin" is for vaccine that is drawn up and cannot be administered.
-
"Publicly Supplied - Expired Open Vial But All Doses Not Admin" is for expired multi-dose vials. (COVID-19 Pfizer 6m-4y and polio are the only multi-dose vials that are state supplied).
-
“Publicly Supplied - Broken Vial/Syringe” is for vaccine that is broken, dropped, or spilled and cannot be administered.
-
"Patient Opted Out of NHIIS" is for vaccines administered to a patient who doesn't want to participate in the NHIIS.
-
“Private - Wasted” is only for privately purchased vaccine.
