Spring break specials at the Outdoor Education Center
 Does your family have spring break plans? Add some excitement with a visit to the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center. Spring break shoots with fun targets (and some challenging ones too), will take place Monday, Tuesday and Friday, March 9, 10 and 13 from noon to 3 p.m. Both the archery and firearm ranges will be open. The cost is just $5.50 per person for archery or .22 rifle, and all equipment is provided. No registration is required.

Hone your turkey hunting workshop skills during workshop
Whether you are preparing for your first turkey hunting trip or you’re in the midst of your second decade of hunting, hone your skills and develop new ones with hunting experts Aaron Hershberger and Jeff Rawlinson during this March 17 event. The workshop, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will cover wild turkey biology, high-tech scouting, equipment strategies and advanced hunting techniques. Registration is required. Learn the basics of archery with weekly program
Explore Archery USA Archery is a program for youth age 8 and up. This program, which takes place Thursdays and Fridays, is a perfect fit for those wanting to learn the basics of archery including range safety and proper shooting form. This unique program also gives youth the chance to play exciting games and earn achievement awards. Includes expert instruction and the ability for youth to work at their own pace.  Build on the basics with Junior Olympic Archery Development
 JOAD(Junior Olympic Archery Development Program) a USA Archery program that meets Mondays and Tuesdays. Students participate for minimum of 10 weeks and earn achievement awards, develop technique and participate in training and games with a focus on skill development.
No equipment required. The cost is $30 per quarter, plus membership in USA archery. Registration includes equipment rental, expert instruction and the ability for youth to work at their own pace. More information on this and other programming is available online.

Saturday, March 20 for a NASP tournament hosted by the Lincoln Archery Club.
