A sharper bird's-eye view: Falcon livestream gets an upgrade

Need a break from your job, the latest news headlines or just the daily stress of life?
Check out the Nebraska State Capitol's peregrine falcon cam — and watch these magnificent creatures as they nest, pair-bond, and hopefully lay eggs and raise young. Our livestream just got an upgrade, so you can now enjoy even better views of these birds.

Nebraska Game and Parks has run these webcams at the Capitol for nearly two decades, and it was time for an upgrade. Thanks to the Wildlife Conservation Fund, the new webcams provide much sharper, better-quality video.

Check it out on YouTube and follow along to see if any eggs are laid this spring!

Love the falcom cam? Help make more projects like this possible

If you appreciate the falcon webcam, you can support the fund making it — and many other conservation projects — possible!

The Wildlife Conservation Fund helps Nebraska's endangered, at-risk and non-game species (meaning those that aren't hunted and fished). Powered entirely by donations, over the years it's helped:

  • Improve habitat for at-risk Nebraska species
  • Fund reintroduction projects, preventing future endangered species listings
  • Fund important Nebraska wildlife research
  • And, of course, connect Nebraskans to wildlife through educational projects like this falcon livestream!

Give back today; it's easy to do online. If you donate $30 or more, we'll email you an invitation to get a free "Do Something Wild!" T-shirt with an illustration of the greater prairie-chicken.
