Enjoy permit-free fishing and park visits Sept. 12
On Saturday, Sept. 12, you and your family have the chance to fish or visit any Nebraska state park area without the need to buy a permit. It's Free Fishing and Park Entry Day, a once-a-year occasion that normally takes place in May, but was delayed this year due to COVID-19.
Remember that all fishing regulations still apply, as do the usual camping, lodging and other state park user fees. Regular entrance fees at state historical park museums and Schramm Education Center will still be in effect.
Learn more about fishing or find the state park for you online.
