Join us Oct. 9-10 for the Nebraska Natural Legacy Conference

A bighorn sheep profile

Registration is now open for the 9th Annual Nebraska Natural Legacy Conference. Come to the Gering Civic Center in Gering, Nebraska on October 9−10 to learn more about research and projects underway to conserve Nebraska’s wildlife and their habitats.

We are pleased to have Distinguished Professor Dr. Samuel Fuhlendorf of the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management of Oklahoma State University and Dr. Dirac Twidwell of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, University of Nebraska−Lincoln deliver the keynote presentation.

Presenters from The Crane Trust, Northern Prairies Land Trust, Lauritzen Gardens, Nebraska Master Naturalists, UNL, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and more will share results of their work, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing biodiversity in Nebraska.

The Natural Legacy Conference is an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build partnerships that foster conservation. Your registration includes meals and options for field tours to see conservation in action in scenic western Nebraska. Graduate students, Nebraska Master Naturalists, and landowners are eligible for half-price registration with a coupon code. Contact melissa.panella@nebraska.gov for details.
