Jim Hellbusch is Appointed as Nebraska Environmental Trust Chairman
The Nebraska Environmental Trust is pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Hellbusch has been appointed as the New Chairman of the Nebraska Environmental Trust Board. Mr. Jeff Fassett, Director of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources,
was appointed Vice-Chairman.
Mr. Hellbusch owns Duo Lift, a company that
manufactures wagons, trailers, running gears and various farm equipment to enhance farming operations. Today, Duo Lift
manufactures one of the largest lines of fertilizer trailers and
running gears in the country and is known throughout the industry as a
manufacturer of high quality equipment with special emphasis on safety. Duo Lift also manufactures commercial
over-the-road custom designed trailers to fill specialty requirements.
Mr. Hellbusch was appointed to the Trust board on March 19, 2015 and will serve till
March 10, 2021.
Mr. Hellbusch added, “I am looking forward to my term as Chairman of the Nebraska Environmental Trust Board to make more Nebraskans aware of the role of the Trust in Nebraska. I am proud to be a part of the process to enhance and preserve our bountiful and
thriving natural resources.”
Executive Director for the Trust, Mark Brohman said, "I am excited to work alongside Mr. Hellbusch and other board members to fulfill the vision of the Trust. Mr. Hellbusch and his company designed some of the first recycling trailers in Nebraska and that design is still being used today."
The Nebraska
Legislature created the Nebraska Environmental Trust in 1992. Using
revenue from the Nebraska Lottery, the Trust has provided more than $275 million in
grants to over 2,000 projects across the state. Anyone – citizens,
organizations, communities, farmers and businesses – can apply for funding to
protect habitat, improve water quality and establish recycling programs in Nebraska. The
Nebraska Environmental Trust works to preserve, protect and restore our natural
resources for future generations.
