Nebraska Environmental Trust Launches Online Portal For Upcoming 2018 Grant Application Cycle
Lincoln, NE –07/20/2017– The Nebraska Environmental Trust is providing an on-line
application process for the 2018 funding cycle. The web address for
the on-line application process is https://environmentaltrustgrants.org.
Applicants may log in and click the 'Create
Account' button to continue to the registration page and complete the
application form. The on-line process follows the long-standing NET application
form for the cover page and subsequent sections.
If using the on-line application, no additional material
will need to be mailed to NET.
The Trust will
continue to accept submission of 2018 applications using our previous options
of an e-mailed electronic application form and/or hard-copy. The electronic submission
must be received in the office by midnight CDT on the application deadline date
and a hard copy of the application must be received by the Trust no later than
5.00 p.m. CDT on the
Friday following the deadline date.
The electronic
submission must be complete and include all information required in a hard copy
submission. The electronic submission uses the conventional email method as opposed to the online application form. Completed applications can be e-mailed to the Grants Administrator. The
electronic form is available for download on the Trust's website.
Hard-copy
submission - The
Trust will also accept traditional submissions of applications. One copy of the
completed application must be postmarked
on or before the application deadline date. Hard copy submissions should be
mailed to: The Nebraska Environmental Trust, P.O. Box 94913, Lincoln, NE
68509-4913.
Applications for 2018 Nebraska Environmental Trust funding
are due on or before midnight Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Any
changes to the Geographic distribution (GEO points) will be announced on the
Trust website following the August 8, 2017 Board meeting.
The Nebraska
Legislature created the Nebraska Environmental Trust in 1992. Using
revenue from the Nebraska Lottery, the Trust has provided close to $275 million in
grants to over 2,000 projects across the state. Anyone – citizens,
organizations, communities, farmers and businesses – can apply for funding to
protect habitat, improve water quality and establish recycling programs in Nebraska. The
Nebraska Environmental Trust works to preserve, protect and restore our natural
resources for future generations.
