 When considering what your family should do this summer, there's probably a million things that spring to mind. Most of us would agree, though: Few things are as stimulating and exciting to a young mind as time spent outdoors.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, located at 44th and Superior in Lincoln, is offering a variety of day camps this summer that center around outdoor learning and exploration. Activities include archery, hiking, survival skills, outdoor cooking, and more.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Bring your family to the Archery Fun Shoot
On March 5, gather your whole family for a day filled with archery and fun. Ages 6 and older can enjoy taking aim at fun and challenging targets. Younger children can enjoy learning about wildlife at the Critter Corner. Make sure to join us in April, too: the Archery Fun Shoot and Critter Corner take place on the first Saturday of each month.  Gain confidence at the Bullseye! Explore Archery Day Camp
 Created for kids ages 8 to 14, this day camp on
March 10 develops archery confidence and skill for first-time participants.
Guided by experienced instructors, kids will also explore tomahawk

 Venture into pistol shooting with First Steps Pistol class
Never used a pistol? By the end of this class on March 8, you’ll have gained an awareness of the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to use one safely and with confidence. Register by visiting us online.
The Centerfire Challenge fires up competition
Show off your marksmanship in this competition and compete for prizes. Ages
12 and up can participate. Shooters will provide their own handgun and ammunition.
The competition takes place in six sessions, on Mondays from March 7 to April

 Gain valuable experience with Explore Archery sessions
 New to archery? These sessions throughout March and April are the perfect springboard into this exciting sport. Ages 8 and older can participate.
