Slow down in school zones. Stop for buses. Watch for kids, especially at crosswalks and bus stops.

Use Pedestrian Smarts
Cross at corners, not mid-block. Look left, right, and left again. Save texts for later, keep eyes up while walking.

Think Before You Pack
A backpack should weigh no more than 10% of a child’s body weight. Choose wide, padded straps to avoid shoulder strain.

Start School Safety Early
Talk to your kids about emergency drills, bullying, and being aware of their surroundings. Learn your school’s safety plans and reporting practices.
