A new school year means new routines, the perfect time to reset safety awareness across your team.
Back-to-school season brings more traffic, distractions, and schedule changes, all of which increase risks for accidents on the road and at work.
Back-to-School Safety Tips to Share: Help your team reset their routines and stay focused on the road, at work, and at home. These quick reminders are great to pass along as employees shift into back-to-school mode.
|
-
Stay Sharp Near Schools Slow down in school zones. Stop for buses. Watch for kids, especially at crosswalks and bus stops.
-
Use Pedestrian Smarts Cross at corners, not mid-block. Look left, right, and left again. Save texts for later, keep eyes up while walking.
-
Think Before You Pack A backpack should weigh no more than 10% of a child’s body weight. Choose wide, padded straps to avoid shoulder strain.
-
Start School Safety Early
Talk to your kids about emergency drills, bullying, and being aware of their surroundings. Learn your school’s safety plans and reporting practices.
Sharing this message helps reduce risk, prevent injuries, and keep operations running smoothly.
