Retirement Process Update
Do you have a teacher or administrator retiring? With the launch of MyTFFR, the Teachers’ Fund for Retirement’s (TFFR) new Pension Administration System, the Retirement and Investment Office (RIO) no longer accepts paper documents—everything is now submitted online, including retirement applications.
Employer Actions in MyTFFR When a TFFR member submits a retirement application, RIO will email their employer with instructions to complete three required actions in MyTFFR:
- Submit a “Salary Verification Card” for the retiring member.
- Upload an Acceptance of Resignation using "Upload a Document."
- "Create an Enrollment" in MyTFFR, selecting “Termination” as the enrollment type.
Important: These actions cannot be completed until MyTFFR prompts you. RIO’s email notification will provide additional details.
