Opportunities for Support
BRIDGE Open Office Hours: The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) and project partners will continue holding general Office Hours on a weekly basis. Our next session is scheduled for next Wednesday, Oct. 21, 12–1 p.m. CDT.
Fall NDCEL Conference – Infinite Campus Help Desk: Infinite Campus will have representatives available (in-person) Oct. 22-23 at the FallNorth Dakota Council of Educational Leaders (NDCEL) Conference for technical support. This is a great opportunity to receive direct support from knowledgeable Infinite Campus personnel as we continue to transition from the implementation phase of the project to normal operations.
Infinite Campus Support Products/Services
As districts continue their transition to Infinite Campus, the support resources available today are here to stay. All current Infinite Campus support services, including tools like Campus Passport, are included in NDDPI’s state-level contract and will remain available to districts at no additional cost.
21st CCLC Reminder
NDDPI has released updated guidance for 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) programs. As a reminder, delayed setup will create significant backlogged data entry, especially because daily attendance, time in/time out, and monthly submissions are required for federal reporting.
Districts and 21st CCLC Directors should work together to configure calendars, permissions and attendance processes in Infinite Campus. The updated guidance is now available on the NDDPI Resource Hub.
Civics Test Dates Published to Infinite Campus
As a follow-up to last week's update, NDDPI has completed the publication of Civics Test Dates to district Infinite Campus sites. The published records include civics assessments taken since July 2022 and were migrated from PowerSchool data as of June 30. Districts can now view these records in the Assessment Center.
Preliminary Fall Enrollment Update
Preliminary statewide enrollment in reporting systems is now showing approximately 115,000 students, down about 1,400 students from last year. This suggests that most student records are flowing correctly into state reporting.
NDDPI is actively contacting districts with remaining duplicate records to ensure accurate fall reporting data. A final enrollment snapshot will be taken the week of Oct. 19 for Nov. 1 payments.
Infinite Campus Voice Phishing Attempts
Infinite Campus has received reports that several districts have been targeted by recent voice phishing “vishing” attempts — fraudulent phone calls in which a caller impersonates Infinite Campus staff. These callers have directed employees to enter their Campus credentials into non‑Campus websites or to log out and back into Infinite Campus.
We have not received any reports of successful vishing attempts currently.
Please note that Infinite Campus will never contact users by phone to request credentials.
District staff who receive suspicious calls should immediately report them by emailing the Infinite Campus security team at psirt@infinitecampus.com or by submitting a Support case.
Please share this reminder with staff who use Infinite Campus.
Infinite Campus Scheduled Downtime — Oct. 20
Districts, please be aware that Infinite Campus will undergo an update on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 2:00 a.m. CDT. During this maintenance window:
- The database and UI will not be accessible
-
Anyone attempting to log in will see a maintenance screen, which may display the default message: “The system is temporarily unavailable”
- The outage may last up to one hour
If your district has nighttime integrations, please ensure they are adjusted to avoid this downtime window. Release notes will be available on the Infinite Campus Knowledge Base after the release.
Child Nutrition Updates
Please take a moment to review this week’s Child Nutrition updates and ensure your information aligns with your district’s food service team. These reminders help keep reporting consistent across systems and ensure everyone is operating from the same set of expectations.
30‑Day Carryover Requirement: Students who have not submitted a meal application by the 30th school day must be moved to full‑pay status. Districts should verify that all carryover statuses have been updated in their systems to avoid inaccurate meal reporting.
Verify State 225 Eligibility: Students listed under State225 must not be indicated as free in Infinite Campus. They should appear as federally paid with the State Eligible checkbox selected. Please review your students to ensure all students are coded correctly.
Direct Certification (DC) Review: Some districts have reported missing students on their Direct Certification list in STARS. If students who typically appear on your DC list are not showing this year, please notify NDDPI’s Child Nutrition team. While many students have legitimately fallen off the list, we have discovered that some may still be eligible, and a manual lookup may be needed to confirm.

North Dakota Accountability Reports Update
Under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), North Dakota publishes annual accountability reports through the Insights dashboard to provide a transparent look at school performance. This year, the release of these reports is again delayed from the usual September timeline due to important updates related to the North Dakota (ND) A+ Summative Assessment.
Following the spring 2026 administration of the ND A+ Summative Assessment, a comprehensive review identified two issues affecting the accuracy of English language arts (ELA) and mathematics results: (1) calculator access on certain grade 6–8 mathematics items during the spring 2025 administration, which affected the 2025 standard‑setting process, and (2) greater‑than‑expected impacts from changes to the ELA assessment in 2026. Because of these findings, the NDDPI reconvened educator committees in August to reestablish cut scores and ensure results remain valid and reliable.
More than 110 North Dakota educators serving on both teacher and administrator panels worked together throughout the standard‑setting process. Teachers reviewed assessment content and recommended cut scores, while administrators applied smoothing to create a coherent grade‑to‑grade progression to support consistent reporting and more accurate measures of growth.
With revised cut scores now finalized, NDDPI’s internal data team is reviewing and synthesizing accountability data. Updated accountability reports are scheduled for preliminary release in late October. Schools will receive guidance on reviewing their data before the Insights dashboard is publicly updated.

Title I Paraprofessional Requirements — What Districts Need to Know
North Dakota districts must ensure paraprofessionals who provide instructional support in Title I programs meet federal qualification requirements. In Targeted Assistance programs, this applies to paraprofessionals paid with Title I, Part A funds who provide instructional support. In Schoolwide programs, the requirements apply to all paraprofessionals who provide instructional support, regardless of their funding source.
Instructional support includes assistance that helps students access and engage in learning under the supervision of a licensed teacher. Examples include small‑group or one‑on‑one instruction, academic interventions, behavior support, technology assistance, and activities that build academic, social, or emotional skills.
For details on qualifications, approved assessments, and the application process, please visit the, Title I Paraprofessional Certificate of Completion webpage. Districts may also verify paraprofessional certificate numbers using the Paraprofessional Lookup tool in ND Teach.
