USDA Food Orders
The August orders are closed. Please log in to ND Foods and review your August order. Due to vendor constraints, the following items were not purchased.
- Apple Slices – Not purchased for the July through September delivery period. USDA will re-bid this item. If the re-bid is successful, the product is expected to be delivered to Booth on October 15 and will be available through the November excess Food Survey.
- Fajita Strips – Not purchased for the September and October delivery periods due to high prices. USDA will re-submit this item for purchase for the November and December delivery periods. If awarded, the product will be available through the December excess Food Survey.
Pancakes, black beans, kidney beans, and refried beans deliveries arrived at the warehouse too late to make in on the August orders. They will be offered through excess food surveys.
Product Updates
The JTM CP5030 meatball was discontinued and replaced with the CP5035 meatball. The CP5035 meatball is the same recipe/formulation, just a different size. If you had this on your August order it was switched to the CP5035. When filling out the monthly food surveys you can use the same quantity you put for the CP5030 for the CP5035. The quantities will not pre-load, you will need to manually enter them.
USDA DoD Fresh
If your school allocated entitlement to the USDA DoD Fresh Program, those funds have been loaded into FFAVORS. Please log in and verify that your allocation has been entered correctly.
For most schools, funds are allocated at the district level, allowing all delivery sites within the district to draw from the shared balance. If you would prefer funds to be allocated by individual delivery site, please contact Tara Koster.
If your school is new to the program for the 2026–27 school year, an email has been sent regarding Login.gov account setup. If you did not receive this information, please contact Tara Koster.

USDA Commodity Payments Reports
We have received inquiries regarding the 2025–26 USDA Commodity Payment Report, also known as the USDA Value Received Report. This report summarizes the value of USDA Foods received by each school during the school year.
The report is not yet available and is expected to be posted to the NDDPI Child Nutrition and Food Distribution website in August or early September 2026.
Once available, the report can be found under Fiscal Year Grant Disbursements for the appropriate school year, under Commodity Payments.
State Match School Year 2026-27
State Match Funds are used to help offset the costs of warehousing and transporting USDA Foods. Reducing the cost incurred by schools.
For the upcoming school year, the state has restructured the distribution of state match funds. As a result of this restructuring, it is our goal to cover close to 100% of warehouse and transportation costs for all schools. This adjustment is intended to provide more equitable support across districts and help reduce the financial burden associated with receiving USDA Foods.
While final allocations will depend on overall participation and total program costs, we are optimistic that the revised state match approach will allow the state to absorb nearly all warehouse and transportation fees.
