BRIDGE Update
Data Migration
NDDPI has secured an additional vendor to support the PowerSchool‑to‑Infinite Campus transition. Aurora Educational Technology, a firm with extensive experience in this type of migration, will now be assisting with the process.
Aurora recently supported school districts in North Carolina with their statewide transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus. We will begin coordinating immediately with Aurora and Infinite Campus to revise the migration and trial conversion plans. Updated timelines and details will be shared as soon as they are available, which we expect to be on or before Friday, March 27.
Multi-Generational Project Plan
Large, transformational initiatives don’t happen overnight, especially when they impact schools, districts, and educators across an entire state. That’s why the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) has taken a deliberate and thoughtful approach to planning this work.

School/District Reports Survey
As part of our ongoing data modernization efforts, we are working to streamline reporting processes and increase access to timely, actionable information for schools and districts. To ensure our work aligns with the needs of instructional and operational leaders, we are gathering feedback on which reports and dashboards should be prioritized for automation.
This brief survey asks you to identify the reports you rely on most, the pain points you experience in your current reporting processes, and which reporting areas would provide the greatest value if automated. Any school or district staff responsible for submitting reports is welcome to take the survey. Please submit responses by April 10.
FAQs & Knowledge Base
Q: Will entries logged in PowerSchool, such as parent contact and discipline records, be transferred to Infinite Campus? A: Yes. Districts will work with their data conversion teams to map their fields to the fields that exist within Infinite Campus.
Q: Is there a way for schedules in PowerScheduler to be transferred from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus during the data conversion process? A: If you use PowerScheduler to create a master schedule, you should commit your master schedule before running the end-of-year process. The end-of-year process modifies each student’s Next School Indicator and Next Year Grade.

Federal Title Allocations
NDDPI received the estimated federal Title allocations from the U.S. Department of Education on schedule this spring. With this information in place, NDDPI plans to open the 2026–2027 Intent to Apply portion of the Consolidated Application on April 21, 2026.

State Superintendent Approves Next Steps on Exploring an Alternative Poverty Method for Title I
NDDPI is moving forward with gathering stakeholder feedback on a proposed Alternative Poverty Method for Title I allocations. This step follows joint research and exploration conducted by a diverse stakeholder task force and the Title I Committee of Practitioners (COP). The COP voted to advance this work, and State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier has approved proceeding with the next phase of stakeholder engagement.
For context, beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, NDDPI transitioned to the U.S. Department of Education’s Census Poverty Method after two years of research and extensive stakeholder input. Since that transition, stakeholders have continued to explore whether a more refined approach could better reflect student populations within schools rather than relying solely on district boundaries. There has been particular interest in identifying a model that more accurately captures students served at the school level and the realities of open enrollment.
It is important to highlight the strong support behind this direction. The Committee of Practitioners, through a formal vote, and the State Superintendent each indicated support for moving forward by a 2:1 margin.
As part of this process, stakeholders across the state will have opportunities to provide input as North Dakota considers a potential change to its Title I funding methodology for the 2027–2028 school year. More information will be shared through the Messenger regarding public comment opportunities, including timelines, methods for submitting feedback, and comparison charts illustrating potential models.
Any decision resulting from this process would not affect the 2026–2027 school year and would, most likely, go into effect in the 2027–2028 school year. Feedback gathered during this phase will inform NDDPI’s determination of next steps, including whether to submit an alternative methodology to the U.S. Department of Education for approval.
