We’re excited to announce that the 2025 ND A+ Summative Assessment results, including Individual Student Reports (ISRs), will be released tomorrow, Sept. 19, 2025.
Following the completion of the ND A+ Summative Assessment standard setting process in August 2025—where a committee of North Dakota educators recommended cut scores specifically for North Dakota students—we continue to uphold our commitment to
a comprehensive and high-quality statewide assessment system. This includes:
-
Navvy – state-provided formative assessment
-
ND A+ Interim Assessments
-
ND A+ Summative Assessment
About the ND A+ Summative Assessment
The ND A+ Summative Assessment measures student performance against North Dakota’s rigorous academic content standards in:
-
English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics: Grades 3–8 and 10
-
Science: Grades 4, 8, and 10
What Are Individual Student Reports (ISRs)?
ISRs provide a detailed summary of each student’s performance in:
Each report includes:
-
Overall performance level and scale score
-
Reporting category breakdowns for groups of related standards
-
Lexile and Quantile measures (as applicable)
These reports are valuable tools for understanding individual student progress and supporting conversations between educators, students, and families and caregivers.
⚠️ Reminder: It is the responsibility of each district and school to distribute ISRs to students and families. The ND A+ Summative Introductory Family Letter is available to support communication with families and caregivers.
Accessing ISRs in ADAM
District and school administrators can access ISRs starting Sept. 19, 2025 through the ADAM platform.
🔑 Step-by-Step Access Instructions:
-
Log in to LaunchPad
-
Select the “ADAM” tile to open the platform via single sign-on (SSO)
-
In the left navigation, go to Reporting > Performance
-
Select the program: ND A+ Summative Spring 25
From the Performance Dashboard, administrators can:
📄 Accessing Individual Student Reports:
-
In the Performance Report, click the kebab menu (three dots) next to a school name

📥 Exporting ISRs:
ISRs can exported from the Performance Dashboard, Performance Report, or Student Performance Report by selecting ISR Export and applying the desired filters (school, grades, teachers, and classes).
Access for Teachers
Teachers will only be able to access ISRs for students currently enrolled in their class(es) for the 2025–2026 school year. To obtain ISRs for students from the 2024–2025 school year, teachers must contact their District Administrator or Site Admin/School Coordinator.
⚠️ Important Note About ISRs and Student Transfers
Due to standard setting activities in August 2025 and the resulting delay in reporting, it’s important to keep the following in mind:
-
ISRs follow the student to their current school, which may differ from the school where they completed the ND A+ Summative Assessment in spring 2025.

Detailed guidance on accessing and interpreting ISRs will be available soon on the ND A+ Portal under: Administration Resources > Summative Resources > User Guides 👉 Administration Resources | ND A+ Portal

September brings exciting new updates to Navvy that give administrators even more control and flexibility. Here’s what’s new:
✅ 1. Administrators are now able to archive an attempt in Navvy.
What does this mean for you? Administrators can now independently archive a student’s results on their second or third Competency Check attempts in Navvy—no tech support needed!
Why it matters? Archiving an attempt resets it for the student and removes the results from reports—essentially like “deleting” an attempt.
🎥 Watch this quick tutorial video to see how it works.
📋 2. Manage Assignments More Easily
What does this mean for you? Administrators can now view and manage all of the Assignments you have made in Navvy—not just the most recent five—including those scheduled in the past, current open, and scheduled for the future.
How to access it:
-
From the left-hand panel in your Navvy account, click “Assignments”
-
Use filters (Class, Status, Type, Time Period) to locate the Assignment of interest
-
Click the ellipsis (...) on the assignment tile to manage the window of availability for that assignment or take other actions
Navvy Reminders
🧩 Not Seeing Class Rosters?
After your roster data flows in to LaunchPad through the automated daily data process, one additional step, called course-mapping, must occur in Navvy before your class rosters appear. If you can log in to Navvy, but are not seeing Class Rosters as expected, please reach out to Amanda.Drahn@pearson.com to ensure your school is course-mapped appropriately.
⭐ Identify Priority Standards
Schools and districts can choose to identify specific “priority standards” within Navvy locally.
Want to set this up? Email Amanda.Drahn@pearson.com with a list of standards for each grade level and subject you would like identified, and your request will be processed within 48 business hours.

Did you know...NDDPI has made an important update to the labeling of one of the four student achievement levels. Level 2 is now labeled “Approaching Proficient.”
This change is more than just a new name—it reflects our continued focus on student growth, progress, and potential. Rather than framing achievement as a proficient/not proficient outcome, the new label emphasizes that students at this level can do many things and are on a path toward meeting grade-level expectations.
What Does “Approaching Proficient” Mean?
The policy Achievement Level Descriptors (ALDs) for Level 2 in both mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA) reflect this shared understanding of growth.
For example, a Level 2 student in mathematics is:
A student at Level 2 is approaching proficiency in applying mathematics knowledge and skills as outlined in the North Dakota Mathematics Content Standards. The student typically performs slightly below grade-level expectations, is sometimes able to engage with grade-level content, and demonstrates higher-order thinking skills with some independence and support.
Why This Matters
This updated terminology is designed to support more meaningful conversations among educators, families and caregivers, and students—shifting the focus toward what students can do now and the progress they are making, rather than solely on areas still developing.
