The program year 2024 is now open in NDfoods. Log into NDfoods and your renewal is located in your work Queue.
A checklist for the CACFP renewal and annual reminders was handed out at the recent CACFP training and can be found by clicking the button below:
If you have any questions, please contact Stacie Morowski, CACFP Manager at smorowski@nd.gov.
As the renewal opened, the program years for claims changed. NDfoods automatically defaults to the most current program year, which is now 2023-2024 in the system, however, August 2023 and September 2023 claims are still under the 2022-2023 program years.
You must select that program year and refresh to find your August and September CACFP claims.
To celebrate Farm to School Month (October), the States in the Mountain Plains Region holds a friendly competition to see which State can get the most "crunches" (per capita) into a local apple, or other local produce!
North Dakota is holding our Crunch Off between October 1 - 31.
Crunch Off participants bite into a local produce item together (virtually or in-person) to celebrate the wonderful fruits and veggies grown in the Mountain Plains Region.
How to participate:
- Plan your event. Include the Crunch Off to be apart of a meal or snack served within your facility or include it as part of an educational segment during activity time.
- Register your event here: 2023 Mountain Plains Crunch Off (qualtrics.com)
- Take a bite into your "Crunch Off" produce and have fun!
To get more information and get your team ready to CRUNCH, contact Amanda Olson for more information: amolson@nd.gov

The last version of this memo was published on October 19, 2017. This new version supersedes that copy.
We truly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to attend our Annual CACFP Training. It was great to connect with so many of you, while we were in Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck and Minot.
After the training, we asked you for feedback on if the time of year that we host this training is an OK time, or if you would prefer it to be a different time of the year. Thank you to those that provided feedback. We are going to take your comments to try and better accommodate you for our future trainings.
We wish you a bountiful Autumn season!
