An update is available regarding overtime payments for Family Home Care (FHC)/Family Personal Care (FPC) providers.
Overtime payments through November 2025 completed
Overtime for all FHC/FPC providers has been fully processed through November 2025. Payments for November should have been received.
QSPs who believe they did not receive the full amount of overtime owed should contact hcbsotreviews@nd.gov for review. Before reaching out, QSPs are encouraged to review their MMIS remittance advice or confirm deposits with their financial institution. These are the most reliable ways to verify payments.
Why overtime payments are delayed
Overtime payments are always issued at least three months after services are provided. This delay allows time for all billing data to be submitted, received and verified so overtime can be accurately calculated.
Overtime payments do not follow check-write dates. Payments are typically issued near the end of the month for work completed in prior months, once all billing data has been validated.
How to avoid future overtime delays
To help ensure timely processing, QSPs should follow these guidelines:
-
Submit billing on time. Billing data not submitted within the month under review will delay overtime payments for that period.
-
Maintain complete service documentation. Random audits may occur at any time. QSPs must maintain accurate, complete records and provide documentation upon request.
Required service documentation includes:
Getting started as a new QSP: Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. CT.
New or recently approved QSPs are invited to attend a session reviewing the initial steps and requirements of being a QSP.
Therap 101: every Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT.
Zoom links are available on the QSP Hub event calendar. Meeting times are subject to change. Check the QSP calendar for the most up-to-date information.
Coming soon: QSP Hub training and development series
The QSP Hub will be launching a new training and development series.
The series will focus on specific behaviors and diseases and provide practical tools and resources QSPs can use to strengthen their skills and support their businesses.
Additional details will be shared by the end of January.
