What is Direct Care Careers, aka Connect to Care?
Direct Care Careers is a free-to-use national job platform designed to connect direct care workers with employment opportunities, state resources and training programs where available.
North Dakota uses this site as a QSP registry and to help QSPs access training. QSPs can also use this site to market their services and be linked with individuals who may be interested in employment as a direct support professional.
The demand for direct care workers has never been greater. Across the country, individuals who are aging or living with disabilities rely on skilled, compassionate caregivers to stay safe and healthy. Employers, including agencies and individuals who direct their own care, are searching for dedicated professionals like you.
Be part of the solution. Create an account to:
-
Gain experience, develop your skills, and open doors to a rewarding career.
-
Access training and resources offered by your state to enhance your skills.
We encourage all agencies and individual QSPs to create an account and connect to gain access to all the benefits that Direct Care Careers can offer!
What is a QSP registry and why is it important?
The QSP Registry is a secure, centralized online system designed to connect individuals who need in-home supportive services with providers who are available and qualified to deliver that care.
For providers, the registry offers a valuable opportunity to be listed as a potential match for recipients seeking services. It helps streamline the hiring process, increase visibility and ensure that both recipients and providers can make informed choices based on skills, availability and preferences.
For recipients, the registry simplifies the search for reliable support. By using the registry, they can view profiles of available QSPs, compare qualifications and connect with providers who meet their specific needs.
Whether you're a provider looking to serve your community or someone in need of support, the QSP Registry is a powerful tool for making the right connection quickly, safely and confidently.

To better serve our diverse community, the QSP enrollment portal now features Google Translate integration, allowing users to navigate the portal in their preferred language. This enhancement is part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and user-centered design.
By leveraging the power of Google Translate, users can view key content and instructions in over 100 languages with just a few clicks. This helps ensure a smoother and more inclusive experience for all, especially for individuals with limited English proficiency.
We encourage all users to explore this feature and share feedback as we continue improving the enrollment process.
Span billing refers to submitting claims that cover care provided over several consecutive days on a single claim. This practice is not allowed because it creates unnecessary complications in processing, increases the chance of errors and could lead to delays in payments. Additionally, span billing violates Medicaid guidelines and could be flagged for investigation, causing potential disruptions to your payment schedule. It could even jeopardize your QSP status.
Starting July 1, 2025, span billing will no longer be permitted on paper claims and claims entered through the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) portal. If the provider span bills, the claims will be denied and the provider will need to resubmit their claims for each day of service provided to the consumer in the correct format.
