BISMARCK, ND - North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA) announces the first round of grant recipients for the FY26 Community Arts Access (CAA) program. This program provides up to $4,000 in arts activity support to both arts and non-arts organizations, as well as unincorporated groups, to help make the arts more accessible to communities across the state.
CAA grants support a wide range of arts activities, including but not limited to festivals, exhibitions, performance series, touring performances, and single or multidisciplinary projects of all forms. A total of 15 organizations received funding in Round 1 to support projects taking place between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
The FY26 Community Arts Access Round 1 recipients are:

Mayville – Friends of Lindaas Barn: Barn dances – $1,500

Hettinger – Hettinger Area Chamber of Commerce: Rockin' in Reeder concert series – $4,000

Kindred – Kindred Area Arts Partnership: Mural in Kindred – $4,000

Bismarck – Missouri River Community Band: Performances – $4,000

Mandan – Musicians Association: Mandan Summer Concert Series – $4,000

Fargo – New Roots Midwest: Community Storytelling Project – $4,000

Oakes – Oakes Public School: Missoula Children’s Theatre residency – $4,000

Walhalla – Pembina Gorge Foundation: Performance of FAME! The Musical – $4,000

Cavalier – Rendezvous Region Foundation: Mural in Fordville – $4,000

Wahpeton – Three Rivers Arts Council: Public music performances – $4,000

Sheldon – United Prairie Foundation: Painting sessions and art exhibit in Fargo – $3,260

Fessenden – Wells County Fair: Free stage performances – $4,000
Applications for the second and final round of FY26 Community Arts Access funding are now open. The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 4, 2025. Projects must take place between December 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Applicants may request between $1,250 and $4,000, and all grants require a 25% cash match.
