We love helping our visitors and it's always rewarding when they share their "legendary" experiences in our state! Here's a recent favorite:
"I just want to tell you how much we enjoyed that Medora Musical last night. It was fantastic. And also we had the meal at the Fondue Place and it was the best steak we ever had. So I wanted to tell you that we really enjoyed visiting North Dakota and we saved the best for last."- Robert Bazinet, New York.

Embracing the "Slow Travel" trend in North Dakota
Familiarization tours are invaluable! Our Benelux representative Marjolein Fraanje embraced the "Slow Travel" trend across North Dakota, visiting Medora, MHA Nation, Bismarck-Mandan, Jamestown, Cooperstown, and Fargo-West Fargo. She enjoyed the Medora Musical, Pitchfork Fondue, United Tribes International Powwow, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Killdeer Mountain Four Bears Scenic Byway, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, and more.
Though she’d visited North Dakota before, this trip allowed her to truly experience it from a visitor’s perspective, discovering new places along the way. Slow travel is all about immersing in the place, people, and community.
Thank you to all partners who have assisted with hosting, meeting, or supporting our FAMs. Nothing can do more to showcase your community than you showing it off!
Since July 1, North Dakota has hosted four familiarization trips, all product development, in which Travel Trade gets to experience the destinations from many different markets.

Accessibility Drives Opportunity
North Dakota Tourism is working diligently to help make travel throughout the state more accessible to everyone.
It is vitally important that you, our partners, update your listings to reflect all the amenities available at your attraction or lodging facility, including your accessible options.
In 2024, through Q3, NDtourism.com hosted 3,057,370 sessions and provided more than 270,000 referrals to partner websites with over 1,600 listings in the travel guide.
Providing accessible travel is not only socially imperative but it is also a business opportunity. A recent study found that travelers with disabilities would increase their travel budget if accessibility barriers were eliminated. Providing inclusive and accessible solutions enables travel and tourism businesses to reach more travelers and a higher paying market that has been historically underserved.
