North Dakota Tourism released the 2024 Travel and Hunting & Fishing guides showcasing North Dakota's events, attractions and legendary experiences. Publications will be distributed through traveler request, inquiry fulfillment, AAA offices, airports, ports-of-entry, attractions, hotels, rest areas, regional brochure racks and visitor centers. Individual fulfillment can be requested at the link below. Bulk quantities of guides, and the state map, can be requested with Deanne Cunningham at decunningham@nd.gov.
Paige Kuntz, Janna Pastir, and Holly Triska-Dally from the Office of Legal Immigration recently attended the 2023 Skilled Immigrant Integration Program (SIIP) Convening and 2023 World Education Services (WES) Economic Inclusion Forum in Washington, D.C. As part of WES Global Talent Bridge’s SIIP, they engaged with federal partners, local practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to discuss replicable workforce inclusion practices. This access to technical assistance and best practices will enhance workforce development in North Dakota.

Operation Intern, a vital program for North Dakota's workforce, is set to expand internship opportunities in targeted industries. Employers can receive up to $4,000 in matching funds for each internship, with the next funding window opening on Feb. 1, 2024. Eligible companies, focusing on energy, manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, technology, and healthcare, can apply for a maximum of $20,000 per round, fostering valuable connections between students and businesses to meet the state's workforce needs. In our mission to fortify North Dakota's communities and enhance the quality of life, the Rural Food Sustainability Grant Program is gearing up for Component Two! This phase will award grant dollars to support the creation or expansion of projects that enhance food accessibility and sustainability. Nonprofits, City, County, Economic Development organizations (JDA, Regional Councils, EDC, CVB) and local tribal entities, are invited to apply starting Jan. 15. With funding of up to $300,000 per community, Component Two promises a chance to boost food accessibility and sustainability in your community.
