Large crowd turns out to meet first responders
Hundreds of people came to Toisnot Park last week for National Night Out 2025, the annual event for y'all to learn more about the men, women and programs that are working year-round to keep you safe. Here are some pictures from the event.
Thanks to Wilson Human Relations Office, Wilson Police Department, Wilson Fire/Rescue Services and everyone who made this such a great and fun event!

Double the fun at Farmers & Artisan Market
The Wilson Farmers & Artisan Market is down to its final two Saturdays of the season, Aug. 16 and Aug. 23, 8 a.m.-noon, for you to buy fresh produce and great locally made items.
This Saturday a Honeybee Day celebration and the rescheduled Police & EMS Commemoration Day will serve up some exciting activities and a chance to see police vehicles along with meeting local first responders.
Food trucks on site will include Luna Bean, Bubble Duck Tea, Taste of Texas, and D&J Smashers.
But this won't be the end of the market. It will be open Tuesday evenings, 5-8 p.m., on six dates this fall: Sept. 9 & 23, Oct. 7 & 21, and Nov. 4 & 18. So mark your calendars and get your fall favorites and holiday gifts.
