Another round of winter weather headed to Wilson
Snow may be heading to Wilson on top of the extremely cold temperatures that will stay with us most of the week. A Winter Weather Warning begins in Wilson County at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Streets crews will be pretreating city streets today. With temperatures forecasted to be in the teens overnight and highs around freezing for the next couple of days we can expect icy road conditions. Crews will be working throughout the storm and clearing streets as needed. Streets closed due to hazardous conditions will be shown on the city's street closure map (link below).
We do not expect power outages with this storm.
Plan to check on neighbors, friends and family members who may need extra help during the winter weather. Dress appropriately if you must go outside and remember that newborns and the elderly are more susceptible to the cold. Keep pets inside as much as possible.
