Be among the first to know Wilson's team name, come celebrate baseball next Friday
Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, will be a day for the Wilson history books! The Milwaukee Brewers will unveil the new minor league baseball team name and logo. The event is open to all and will be held at the Wilson Industrial Air Center off Airport Road.
The big reveal will happen at 2 p.m. but the fun will continue until 5 p.m. with a live band, complimentary food, and swag giveaways. Team merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. Baseball fans of all ages are encouraged to attend.
This is of course the former Carolina Mudcats, the team that will play in the downtown ballpark now under construction. The team is expected to start here in spring 2026.

City Council meets next Thursday, Nov. 21
Wilson City Council will hold its monthly night meeting next Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m., at Wilson City Hall, 112 Goldsboro St., third floor, enter via the ailleyway. The agenda will be available at the link below on Monday.

Don’t miss out: Wilson Christmas Parade entry deadline approaching
The entry deadline for the Wilson Christmas Parade is quickly approaching—be sure to submit your application by Friday, Nov. 22!
The parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. along Nash Street and will include the popular quiet zone between Whitehead and Bruton streets. We’re also looking for volunteers to help on the morning of the parade. For questions or to volunteer, contact Parade Coordinator Hannah El-Ramey. Let’s make this year’s parade unforgettable!
