🌟 September 2024 was an action-packed month for Wilmington’s Parks and Recreation!
From the End-Of-Summer Fest at Portia Mills Hines Park, to the Open House Events at the Davis Center, Sherriedale Morgan Fitness Center, and the Fit For Fun Center, September was filled with fun and community spirit. 🎥✨ The Davis and MLK Community Centers saw a surge of activity with their expanded open gym hours, and our Open House events allowed newcomers to experience the BEST of what we offer!
Our beloved parks stayed busy with families cooling off and enjoying the last of the hot days, while our community centers flourished, bringing specialized activities to all. We were also busy planning for the Fire in the Pines Festival that is scheduled for THIS Saturday (October 5) from 10 - 3 PM! This event will feature live music, food trucks, hay-rides, live animals, engaging educational activities and a live demonstration controlled burn! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who participated and made September 2024 unforgettable. Here’s to more adventures and fun in our amazing parks and rec programs!!
