From Procurement and Contract Management: Temporary Hold on Surplus Pick-Ups

The Procurement & Contract Management team is preparing the surplus warehouse for the launch of our new Union County Surplus Marketplace. To allow time for setup and reorganization, there will be a temporary hold on all surplus work order pick-ups and warehouse delivery requests from May 15, 2026, through July 1, 2026.

During the transition, please hold all surplus items at your department. If you have special or urgent surplus needs, contact Kyle Hodge, Senior Procurement Specialist, or Corey Brooks, Director of Procurement & Contract Management.

In certain situations, we may coordinate the sale or proper disposal of items directly from your department location. Procurement and Strategy & Innovation will provide more information on the Surplus Marketplace soon.

Cybersecurity Tip of the Month

Be Skeptical of the "Urgent" Signature

Phishing scams often masquerade as trusted tools like DocuSign to hijack your emotions and your accounts. When an unexpected "urgent" document lands in your inbox, remember: If you weren't expecting it, don't inspect it.

How to Protect Yourself

  1. Verify the Source: Before clicking any buttons, contact the alleged sender through a trusted channel (like a known phone number or a new email thread) to confirm they sent you a document.
  2. Hover Before You Click: Hover your mouse over the "Review Document" button to see the actual web address. If it doesn't lead directly to docusign.com, it's a trap.
  3. Log In Directly: Instead of clicking the link in the email, go directly to the official DocuSign website in your browser and log in there to see if any documents are truly pending.
