Champion the 10M Book Challenge

Dear Champions, We are excited! In January, NCDPI is launching the 10 Million Book Challenge, a statewide challenge for all public school students to read 10 million books in 2027. The Challenge is more than just a literacy campaign, it is a movement that will build shared pride and support for North Carolina public schools - and your voice is needed to help build the momentum after our public announcement on November 10!

To help build the buzz statewide, we're also providing social media posts for you to share to your networks AFTER the public announcement on Nov. 10, along with social media and brand guidelines for the Challenge. Please note, the social media content is embargoed until the public announcement; please do not post the content or graphic before November 10, 2026.

Champion Action Log

Remember, each Champion Action you take helps shape the narrative of public education in North Carolina!

You can bookmark this Champion Action Submission Form to log the Actions you take throughout the year. The information you share helps us track what Champions are doing across the state, and lift up stories worth amplifying.

Champions who complete the “Interest & Capacity” Survey, attend at least one training webinar, and use a toolkit resource for outreach are “Learning Champions” - on their way to being an “Active Champion” and ultimately a “Certified Champion!”
