WHAT'S NEW:
CTE Concentrator Issues?*
If you are experiencing any issues with your concentrator list not identifying the correct students (either the CTE Extract or Ad Hoc reports), please ask your CTE staff to reach out to Misty Wolfe (misty.wolfe@dpi.nc.gov) directly for support in correcting concentrator calculation in Infinite Campus.
NCDPI is seeing an influx of concentrator override requests by CTE staff that are not related to OCS or ECS status and can save time by helping troubleshoot the root cause.
Please do not submit help tickets through Infinite Campus for any issues with concentrator status.
The instructions for identifying concentrators in Infinite Campus can be found linked below:
https://go.ncdpi.gov/cteconcentrator

Ad Hoc Community Reminder*
As a reminder, please be extremely cautious when contributing files to the Ad Hoc Community and do not include personally identifiable information (PII).
To help keep the community organized, we will be reviewing contributed files and removing items that are not appropriate or are no longer needed. Files identified during this review will be removed without individual notification.
Please review your contributions by July 1.

Graduate Data Reminder*
As we wrap up the school year, here is a quick reminder about the End-of-Year Graduate Process.
Any student that has a diploma date between 8/7/25 and 8/6/26 and has a W4 or W6 in their current or most recent enrollment needs to have these fields completed:
- Diploma Type
- Diploma Period
- Post Grad Plans
Please note that any missing fields for these students can impact your official cohort graduate rate (CGR) and alternative school accountability persistence rate reported to NCDPI. Thank you for ensuring data accuracy!

End-of-Year (EOY) Resources and Support*
EOY Guidance and Resources
Please watch all videos and review all Knowledge Base articles.
EOY Focus of the Week
- When ending enrollments for your non-graduating students, use EYC or EYCN as the local end status and the last day of school as the end date for any student that has finished the year at your school. Graduates should have a local end status of W6.
- DO NOT use a W1 for students that completed the year at your school. If a student is withdrawing to a new school over the summer, the No Show record for next year should contain the W1 end status.
Questions and Answers
As you review the webinars and guidance materials, please submit any questions using the NCSIS Questions Form: go.ncdpi.gov/NCSIS26Questions. Responses can be viewed on the NCSIS Answer sheet: go.ncdpi.gov/NCSIS26Answers.

Enrollment in Advanced Math Coursework Summer 2026 Reminder
This message was shared from the Division of Academics at NCDPI to PSU Instructional Leadership and is being included here for your information:
As EOG/EOC data is available for review, ensure someone in each school or at the district level is designated to review all Level 5 data to ensure students are placed appropriately in advanced math courses for the upcoming school year. As a reminder, this is best practice and also a legislated requirement to ensure students have access to advanced learning opportunities.
Below are a few reminders for LEAs to overview what the legislation requires, along with NCDPI guidance to ensure LEAs are adhering to the legislation (G.S. 115C-81.36).
- In grades 6 and higher, students who score at the highest level on an EOG or EOC must be placed in the next advanced math course. For reporting purposes, the state course codes for all advanced mathematics courses in grades 6 and higher can be found here.
- To ensure accuracy in reporting, use the official state course code to show enrollment in an advanced math course, rather than local codes for grades 6 and higher.
- The legislation also stipulates specifically that if the student scores at the highest level on the EOG in grade 7, the student shall be placed in NC Math 1 in 8th grade. (NCGS §115C-81.36 (b))
-
Note: LEAs continue to have the flexibility to place additional students in NC Math 1 in 8th grade who do not score the highest level. In fact, NCDPI encourages you to review data holistically to make additional placements.
- Because the legislation applies to students who score at the highest level on the 8th grade EOG, an Honors NC Math 1 course must be available at the high school level to meet the requirements of the legislation.
- For students who earn a Level 5 on the NC Math 3 EOC, according to the legislation, the student "shall be enrolled in the advanced course for the next mathematics course in which the student is enrolled" (NCGS §115C-81.36 (b)). Therefore, NCDPI encourages districts to provide opportunities for intentional advising with students to ensure students are enrolled in advanced options aligned with the students' post-high school plans.
- Please remember: Eligible students must be enrolled in the advanced version of their next math course. A student may only be removed from the course with written consent from the parent/guardian after the parent has been adequately informed of how placement was determined. Maintain a copy of the parent's/guardian's written consent if the parent determines to remove the student from the course.
To see how data is reported to the NC General Assembly, please view the Advanced Mathematics Coursework 2025 Report.

Final Transcript Procedures in NCSIS
To allow ample time for schools to store final marks and ensure that the “Diploma Date” fields are populated correctly, NCDPI has requested that CFNC begin the electronic high school transcript system on Thursday, June 18, 2026. This will be the start date to release queued final transcripts. The CFNC system automatically creates these queued requests for seniors who sent a non-final transcript earlier in the year. The CFNC transcript system will remain available for regular functions such as new transcript requests.
This schedule means it is critical that all final marks are posted to transcripts before June 18, 2026, and all graduates have their “Diploma Date” field populated on the student Graduation screen within Infinite Campus.
Based on the standard system protocol, CFNC will automatically release queued final transcripts on the morning of June 18. As a reminder, the standard system protocol is for the automatic release of queued final transcripts ten days after your school's last instructional day in the Infinite Campus calendar when two conditions are met:
- The Diploma Type is populated.
- The Infinite Campus “Diploma Date” field is populated (not blank).
If either of the two conditions mentioned above are not met when the CFNC system attempts to release the final transcript, the e-transcript requests will enter a nine-day processing loop. During this period, the system will make three additional attempts every three days until the conditions are met. If the conditions are met by the end of the nine-day processing loop, the final e-transcript will still be processed and released to colleges through CFNC. However, if the conditions are not met by the end of the nine-day processing loop, the final e-transcript request(s) will fail, and the student will be automatically notified by email. This underscores the importance of meeting the protocol requirements on time.
Incomplete final e-transcripts occur when final marks are not posted to transcripts within ten days, and students have their “Diploma Date” and “Diploma Type” populated within Infinite Campus. Schools must post grades to transcripts within the specified period to prevent this to ensure proper processing. This reiteration emphasizes the necessity and responsibility of adhering to the protocol.
Again, e-transcript services will continue as normal through CFNC. Still, to allow schools time to store final marks and ensure that the “Diploma Date” fields are populated correctly, the CFNC electronic high school transcript system will wait until Thursday, June 18, 2026, to start releasing queued final transcripts.

Behavior/Discipline Pre-EOY Edit Checks
To help PSUs/districts check and verify their discipline data, pre-EOY summary totals and edit checks have been run on all data that has been synced to the State as of Tuesday, June 2, 2026. A spreadsheet with the results can be located and downloaded from the secure eMFTS Apex file exchange service in the “homebase/reporting” folder. They are named:
“DISC--00-4081-PSUXXX--Behavior_Edit_Checks_MMDDYYYY.xlsx”
“DISC--00-4081-PSUXXX--Actions_Edit_Checks_MMDDYYYY.xlsx”
NCSIS coordinators who have not yet requested access to the eMFTS exchange service should refer to this link.
- Descriptions of each Edit Check can be found here.
- It is possible that an incident will be flagged by one of the edit checks even though it was entered correctly. When this happens, just ignore that check for that incident.
- Another round of edit checks will be run; please adjust information by Wednesday, for changes to show in the next edit checks.
Discipline Audit Office Hours recording is available on the Professional Learning area of the NCSIS Knowledge Base: Behavior | NC Department of Public Instruction

CRDC Coordinators Brief
Begin Local Data Collection Planning
As preparation continues for the SY2025–26 Civil Rights Data Collection, PSUs should begin identifying data elements that are not collected by NCDPI and must be tracked locally during the current school year.
The NC CRDC Canvas course includes a Collection by Entity document from the most recent submission cycle, which can be used as a starting point for local planning. This resource reflects prior requirements and may not include future updates.
PSUs should use current processes and available documentation to begin tracking applicable data and monitor future communications for updates as federal guidance becomes available.
Ensure CRDC contact information in EDDIE remains current to support ongoing communication.
Contact the SEA CRDC Coordinator with any questions at NC.OCR.CRDC@dpi.nc.gov
