CSRB Basics
- CSRB meetings are streamed live every month on the DPI Youtube page.
- Meeting agendas and relevant documents are posted to Eboard approximately a week prior to each meeting.
- The next regularly scheduled CSRB meeting is May 11, 2026.
- CSRB member lists, previous minutes, and other information is housed on the OCS web page.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – EDDIE is the authoritative source for NC public school addresses, contacts, numbers and demographic information, and is used by multiple NCDPI technology systems, including: Accountability and Reporting, NC School Report Cards, and is used to meet federal reporting requirements. LEAs and charter schools are responsible for ensuring their data in EDDIE are complete, accurate, and current. EDDIE is located at: http://apps.schools.nc.gov/eddie

Amendment Requests:
Maureen Joy Charter & Pocosin Innovation Charter: Mission statement revision requests approved.
NE Carolina Prep: Remote charter academy amendment to move from a regional remote academy to state-wide was approved by a vote of 6:2
BH2 Stream Academy: Request to relocate the proposed school location over 10 miles was denied. BH2 Stream Academy is currently in the Ready to Open process and scheduled to open Fall 2026.
Low Performing Schools Presentations:
Dr. Brandi Gill, OCS Consultant, presented information related to low performing schools including legislation, data, and school presentation guidelines. The final low performing school presentation for the 25-26 school year was shared with CSRB which included an update on their school improvement plan.

Other Business:
Ashley Logue, OCS Director, shared a review of policy, statute, and rules as they relate to Accelerated and Fast-Track Applications.
Dr. Natasha Norins, OCS Consultant, provided CSRB with an update regarding the 2026 Ready to Open cohort. CSRB will continue to receive monthly updates through June 2026.
