WHAT: At Thursday's State Board of Education meeting, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) will share the latest data on dual enrollment, including participation in the Career and College Promise and Cooperative Innovative High School programs. The full report will be available at this link following the board presentation. Following the board meeting, a press conference will be held to share the local impact of these college-credit programs on families across the state.
WHEN: Thursday, April 2, 11 a.m. (The presentation to the state board will be given at approximately 9:35 a.m. Highlights of the presentation will be shared at the beginning of the press conference.)
WHERE: NCDPI, 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC. 7th Floor Boardroom. NCDPI’s front entrance is closed for repairs for several weeks. Please use the doors on Halifax Mall to enter the building. There will be NCDPI staff to help direct you into the building for the media conference.
Credentialed members of the media who are not present in person can join via Zoom to ask questions during the press conference. Others are asked to tune in via the livestream on NCDPI's Public Meetings YouTube channel.

WHO: Remarks will be given by NC Superintendent of Public Instruction Maurice "Mo” Green; Sneha Shah-Coltrane, senior director of advanced learning and gifted education; and students and staff members from Edgecombe County Schools, Cumberland County Schools and Durham Public Schools.
